“Unprecedented” Is Hardly Adequate: It Is Raining Near The North Pole Today
It is raining near the north pole. Currently, 24 hour darkness prevails and the temperature normally ranges from-20 to -40 and below. But today, it is raining. To call this unprecedented is simply inadequate. To call it a sign of what is coming on the world is likely more accurate.
Yesterday, when I posted about the massive storm centered over Iceland, I said I would update the post later in the week. Well, a writer and researcher that I greatly respect has already done that. So, instead of rewriting everything, I will simply provide a link to the post written by Robert Scribbler. The post doesn’t just cover the Arctic impacts, it also covers the epic flooding that is coming on the UK (three all-time record floods in one month?). So, I recommend reading the Scribbler post if you have time.

That is rather astonishing. This less so, but still important: http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-35159826#sa-ns_mchannel=rss&ns_source=PublicRSS20-sa
Your article is actually much more important than my post — thank you for sending it. As a former ADRA Country Director, the human suffering that we are seeing just makes my heart ache. And, while there is indeed a spike in suffering during the current massive El Nino, the only realistic long-term trend for such suffering is upward. Our mission truly is an urgent one.
I just read his link in a USA TODAY article this morning. Surely this should make us wake up! !!
We have a poor history of “waking up” but, yes, this should help do it. I am hoping that the radio spots that I have done (which, at almost three minutes, allow for some depth of discussion) and the television programming now being discussed, will help push to a state of greater wakefulness!
